Not So Sexy Santa

Im always keen to economize and here i am again in a home made fancy dress outift! Nighty-Primark £5 for two hat-Jades, Belt-Suzzannes, Icicle drape-Poundland hmm £1. So we decided to have a bit of fun and dress up because it was christmas eve eve, and 'everyone' was going to be dressed up! But no bar a few stragglers were were the only group dressed up. I just can't seem to pull off the look as well as my friends did. Was a busy night and the ques were horrendous! But all in all i was pretty pleased with another home made costume. I'm creating a nice collection !!

Nostalgic wrapping

So i'm a student im poor, but I also like to think myself as quite creative (sorry for the pause but i'm on the sofa and my little sister Zoe requested a mention so there you go Hi Zoe ) where was I yes so i was thinkning about wrapping my presents and thought well i need wrapping paper bows ribbon tags, but i decided to go for a nostaligic theme using brown paper string and sticky parcel labels. My friend Jade came round today and described it using the words Harry Potter , i think thats pretty accurate. I give my self a 8/10 for creative and cost effectivness!!

Clarebear the Square Bear

You will probably notice loads of blogging over the next few weeks, what with me being sat home in Burton theres not a lot to do, and my days consist of: 11.00 wake, 11.15 tea and buscuits, 12.00 run, 12.45 shower, then i put my pj's back on and hibanate until my mum comes home urging me to get up.

Well.... come on i am a student. So anyway today whilst i was laying in my bed reading jan Elle, i came accross an article that really made me chuckle an article which i can relate to titled:  'good girl vs bad girl'. My friends didn't nick name me 'clarebear the square bear' for nothing, so im a good girl, writer Hannah Swerling writes; ' Bad girls are expected to be bad but when a GOOD girl messes up, it's a disappointment and a letdown' this is too true when i miss a deadline or forget to do something my friends are always quick to joke oooooooooooooo clarebear your so naughty!! It reminded me of my college days the stick i used to get and how hilarious people found it when i tried to rebell.

I Heart Zara

Zara's not somwhere i choose to shop much probably because not suprisingly, we dont have one in Burton. However since moving to Nottingham I have found some great things in there. I found it interesting to know that each store manager has influence in the choice of stock, and thats why every Zara store is so different. So whats my recent purchase i bought i lovely jumpsuit ready for the Burton nights out ahead of me, im thinking gold chains and shoe boots. http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-sales/15012/158022/EVENING%2BJUMP-SUIT

Dazzling December Issue for ELLE

I am so dissapointed, I have ELLE on subscription and every month i am excited when i hear the heavy thud through the letter box as i know what it is. This month i opened it to find all the pages stuck together ! For those who are obsessed with magazines like i am will sympathise with me on this one. I was gutted, however...... it turned out to be my favourite issue this year. Lorraine Candy looked stunning in Vivienne Westwood, at the ELLE 25th birthday celebration. The ELLE edits is great, and i especially liked the piece on the girls at H&M and what they wear to work. But my favourite  piece of all was in the ELLE Memoirs and the article was titled 'The deepest love of all' the article is about relationships with mothers. I read the article whilst on my lunch break at work, and was almost tearing, but tears of happiness, the article is brilliant a really good read. The issue is well worth £3.70, so if you havn't already got a copy please get one !! It won't let you down !!
