So you could call it luck or you could call it fate. I've been desperate to undertake some experience at Next head office for ages now, a successful fashion brand, based in the midlands and with a great reputation for graduate programmes it seems perfect for me. If only it was that easy eh !!

So I was at work one sunday and whilst helping dress a lady for her daughters wedding we got into conversation about what I was studying at university and my career aspirations. It turned out that both daughters work in the Fashion industry themselves and one  of them happens to be a buyer for the brands department at Next. She was so friendly and suggested I come down and do some work experience at the head office. So next week im off to Enderby to spend a week at Next!

Luck or fate? I'm not sure but i'm soooo excited !! Watch this space i'll fill you in next week ......

With the issue that featured my first attempt of styling

While all my friends were busy revising I was sat alone BORED, after weeks of hard work I was ready to do nothing, but it's no good when theres no-one to do nothing with. It was then I decided i'd better check my emails, ahhhhh bored no-more I had been asked by the girls from Fabulous to go down and help out at the Face of Fabulous Bloggers Evenet.

Two hours later and I was on a coach down to London. It felt good to be back !! I went straight to reception whereabouts I was greeted by a familiar face pleased to see her we talked for a bit before going upstairs to the Fabulous department.

The morning was spent returning a few items getting the cupboard into shape before all the hard work started. The afternoon was spent filling goody bags and setting up the rooms for the event. Before we knew it the bloggers started to arrive.

The event was ran by Jam events, in conjunction with New Look and  NEXT model managment. 
I was lucky enough to get invited to the party whereabouts I met some amazing people, and was introduced to some great blogs including: Style Suzi and Or False Glitter . It was a really great night and I am gradually getting the hang of 'Tweeting' as we had a big screen displaying our Tweets on the evening.

I also had the opportunity to style some guests in pieces from the S/S 2011 collection by New Look and I have to say the collection is very impressive. The winning peice seemed to be this skirt which everyone insisted on trying on, it genuinely looks great on and shape and size. It was great to see it worn differently, with plain Tee's neon shirts, wedges and flats.

I was there for the announcement and the launch of the competition being held by Fabulous and Next Model managment. The competition is to find a new face for the magazine and the winner will win a modeling contract with Next Model Managment and get to appear on the cover of Fabulous magazine. They are looking for good looks, personality and attitude, so if you have what it takes go to : Face of Fabulous and upload your picture NOW. Competition closes 4th July Midday.

I finally got home at 11.30 that evening I was tired but on a massive high. I was kindly given a goodie bag myself which had to be the best goodie bag I had ever seen including; a Karl Largefeld designer coke, a make believe lipgloss, Coleen Ronneys fitness DVD, White Lies fake tan, Gosh eyeshadows, a Freya underwear set, Lindt Chocolates, plus much more cool stuff watch this space for updates on the products as I test them and give my feedback.
