The Boys Are Back

So March has arrived and the count down begins for the menswear to re-launch. Our fabulous Nottingham branch is 1 of 18 Jigsaw stores selected to stock the range and has been fitted with new fixtures and fittings ready for new stock to arrive! 

So what to expect from this exciting new collection Frances Walker the Menswear design director says: ‘’ We are inspired by honest clothing with a dishevelled charm, it’s not about being pristine, it’s about being comfortably well put together. We based the collection around most men’s favourite wardrobe pieces.’’ 

Not am I only looking forward to having the range in store but am also nervous. Styling women has something I have been doing now since I took my first job at 15 working in the Bridal shop, but men are completely different, don't get my wrong i'm excited but I just don't know what to expect. It will be a great experience and learning curve and who knows maybe menswear styling is something i will become more interested in or maybe ......i'll stick to women .

A Sneak Peak of The Press Launch

New Look for New Look

So i was wondering past our Nottingham Listergate store today and the trademark yellow has been traded in for a fresh pastel pink look. The windows are still covered ready for their opening tomorrow ! As much as New Look gets slated for being a 'cheap tacky younger version of Topshop' I've always been a fan. Sometimes I have been put of by the younger demographic as nobody want to come home with the same dress as your 16 year old sister and trust me this has happened before. However I love the shoes not that comfy buy cheap and on trend, and i'm a big fan of the swim wear especially the Kelly Brook stuff it is surprisingly tasteful and great for young girls who are self conscious about their bodies.

All I could see from the outside was a change in font they have gone for a simple title and ditched the old logo. There is little about the revamp on the website and so i'm not sure whether they are changing stores bit by bit or testing the nottingham store. I think the re-vamp is overdue and I can't wait to see the results!

Everyones talking about ........iPad

I'm not massive on technology but with it developing all the time I guess we have to take an interest in it. One thing I have on my wish list at the minuete is an ipad, I first saw them in use when I was in New York, but now it is becoming a house hold neccessity, and for saying im not into 'gimmicks' I actually really want one especially after seeing this:

I'm aware that most books are now available to download to iPad but i wasn't aware of magazines doing similar things. If you get a chance watch this video its incredible, it is literally a virtual magazine taking fashion and reading to the next level.
